Scratchface Lane Development

16 June 10 : There was an event concerning Scratchface Lane development at Bedhampton Social Hall on Wed, 16 June 10, 2pm to 8pm. The various development groups explained their plans inside the Hall whilst a peaceful protest was held outside by North Hill Bedhampton Residents Association which was well supported. A picture of the protest (also sent to the Portsmouth News) can be found here :

13 June 10 : Jim Graham of the North Hill Bedhampton Residents Association (NHBRA) has been in touch and asked if I could put his group’s Pamplet and Newsletter regarding Scratchface Lane on our website. It includes information that could also be useful to us in Old Bedhampton and I am happy to include the documents.
The can be found here : NHBRA Pamphlet[1] and here : NHBRA Newsletter 1 June 2010

Key Points :
–  “Community Consultation meeting event at Bedhampton Social Hall, Wed 16 June 2pm – 8pm being held by Havant Council & the Developers. NHBRA are planning a peaceful protest from 6pm and would welcome all support.
– Increased risk of flooding to Old Bedhampton arising from possible extra flow to Bedhampton stream could be a valid further objection to extra housing at Old Bedhampton. See http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/31650.aspx   and enter PO9 3LH postcode
